Registered Nurse - Cardiac Med/Tele

Schedule

This position requires night shifts on a 12-hour schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM. Options available for 36 and 48 hours per week, with a commitment to at least one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Candidates must also be available to work at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on the Cardiac Med/Tele unit, which consists of 43 beds. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac med/tele environment.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform patient assessments and document clinical observations accurately using EPIC charting.
• Assist in the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Be flexible in responding to the needs of the facility, including floating to other units if necessary.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
