Early Engineer, Full-Stack (San Francisco)

Role Description We’re looking for an AI-native engineer who doesn’t just write code — but uses AI as a core part of how they build, think, and ship . As an early engineer, you’ll help shape our product and have an important voice in decisions regarding the technical stack, direction, and vision. This is a full-time Software Engineering role. The current team is in San Francisco, and this role is in person at Multiply HQ. What you’ll do Build 0 → 1 product features quickly and iterate based on real customer feedback Design and ship systems that embed LLMs and AI agents into core workflows Orchestrate multi-step AI systems (agents, evals, feedback loops, etc.) Own features end-to-end: idea → build → deploy → iterate Work directly with founders on product, roadmap, and technical direction Help improve our engineering culture, tooling, and velocity Play a key role in building and mentoring the early team What We Mean by “AI-Native” You should already be using tools like: Cursor, Claude Code, Codex / OpenAI APIs or similar AI-assisted development workflows, as a core part of how you build software , not as an afterthought. Qualifications 3+ years experience building software with a strong track record and ability to work full-stack Startup mindset — resourceful, sharp, and entrepreneurial, who is excited to take early ownership Love to move fast, to learn, and to always-be-improving Experience using LLMs in production and interest in staying at the cutting edge of AI Experience in designing and building scalable systems.
