Technical Support Specialist

Salary: $45,000 - 45,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for an intermediate or senior technical professional with a background in remote server, network administration, and user helpdesk support.
• You should have strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2003-2019, including R2 editions.
• You should be proficient with Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESXi.
• You should have solid experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems from XP through Windows 10.
• You should understand Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP administration.
• You should be familiar with backup solutions such as Windows Server Backup, Veeam, BackupExec, Acronis, and Datto.
• You should have experience with antivirus and antispam tools.
• You should know how to support networking equipment such as firewalls, switches, routers, and similar appliances.
• You should understand core networking concepts including VPN, public DNS, and dynamic DNS.
• You should have experience with Office 365 email environments.
• Experience with PSA platforms such as Autotask or ConnectWise is an advantage.
• Experience with RMM tools such as Datto RMM, LabTech, or N-able is an advantage.
• Linux knowledge is considered an asset.
• Understanding of hosting environments is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of managed IT services is preferred.
• You should have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• You should be able to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
• You should be able to prioritize work and solve issues promptly.
• You should be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• You should be eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• You should have strong attention to detail and a self-driven work style.
• You should have at least 5 years of technical support experience, ideally within an MSP.
• A minimum of 2 years of technical support experience is required.
• You must be available for rotational day and night shifts in our 24x7x365 operation.
• You should provide your primary language and any additional languages that may be an asset.

• We handle phone calls from clients who need technical assistance.
• We provide remote support to clients across multiple support tiers.
• We respond to technical alerts from client servers and network devices.
• We create, update, and manage technical tickets.
• We monitor and act on IT-related alerts and notifications.
• We support servers, network appliances, and end users.
• We coordinate closely with other team members.
• We help design and build strong managed technical solutions.
• We report to a senior team leader and carry out assigned daily tasks.
