Step into a rewarding contract position supporting early learners with communication needs during a maternity leave coverage from November 16 through January 28. This opportunity invites an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to positively impact young children in a school-based setting. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing services to an early childhood caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred
• Previous experience in a school or early childhood setting highly valued
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Record of thorough documentation and progress reporting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings and assessments for students in early childhood programs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to support student learning
• Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to create comprehensive support plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
• Foster an encouraging and inclusive environment to help young learners grow in their communication abilities
