Compensation: $20 an hour + tips 

Shift: AM SAVORY || Between the hours of 6AM-6PM || 

Hours : Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate kitchen professional to join our team. In this role, you will focus on cleanliness & organization, preparing food in a timely and efficient manner, working with a team to complete prep and kitchen tasks, and expediting food for a high volume of customers. 

Daily Production Execution

• Complete prep tasks efficiently and to Chicago health and safety food standards
• Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance, and taste
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Knife skills
• FIFO of all products and items
• Knowledge of food seasonality 
• Opening and closing of a kitchen station with efficiency and cleanliness
• Ability to write and complete daily prep lists for station needs
• Label, date, and store all products properly
• Communicate low inventory, product issues, or delays promptly
• Assist in minimizing waste through proper execution and awareness
• Utilize communication platforms like slack / email efficiently

Qualifications 

• 2 year experience in a kitchen back of house position
• Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills
• Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 pounds safely 
• Stand for long periods of time up to 10 hours
• Safe and reliable transportation
