As a 100% employee-owned company, employees share in the long-term success we build together.With flexible ways of working and meaningful development opportunities, you’ll build a career you can be proud to stand behind.The Opportunity In this role, you may have the opportunity to:Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety ofprojects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control designculvert design, and pavement design, etc.Have hands-on involvement in the permitting process.Have significant interaction with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external clients.#LI-DM2Key ResponsibilitiesPerform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needsand requirements that are set by theproject managers based off client needs.Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants.Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients.Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplineProfessional Engineer (P.E.) License, or in active pursuit of licensureThorough understanding of civil site development (i.e., Site Plans, Permitting, Grading, Storm WaterManagement, Storm Water Design)Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorshipMinimum QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.Minimum of 5 years related work experience.All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Work Environment/Physical DemandsHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon managerdiscretion, job performance and workassignments.May require travel to local and regional client sites.Salary PlanENG: EngineeringJob Grade016Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
