Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a Special Education Teacher, working 1:1 within a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, on-site contract position offers a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about delivering individualized instruction and advocacy for students’ unique needs. Travel professionals are welcomed to apply for this position based in Jacksonville, FL.
Your expertise will be vital in fostering educational growth and empowering students to reach their goals. You'll collaborate closely with other dedicated educators, therapists, and families, making a real difference in each child’s school experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Florida Special Education Teaching Certification (required for interview consideration)
Experience tailoring lesson plans for students with diverse abilities and backgrounds
Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs
Ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources for individualized learning
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 academic and behavioral support to students with special needs
Design and execute individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
Monitor, assess, and report student progress to staff and parents/guardians
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal special education guidelines
