Details Acute care setting at a Level 2 trauma center Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Minimum of 2 weekend days per month required, with more availability optional Works across all units within the hospital, mostly located in one tower Treats neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, oncological, and general medical conditions Part of a large interdisciplinary rehab team of approximately 45-50 associates including PT, OT, and speech therapy Core team includes about 8 physical therapists and 3 physical therapist assistants, supplemented by PRN staff Uses Cerner EMR with real-time documentation and point-of-service care Requirements Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required PT license required if applicable Experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity acute care environment preferred Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong critical thinking skills Comfortable overseeing physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff Must be able to work in a stressful, dynamic hospital environment Follows standard precautions and uses personal protective equipment as required Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and revising treatment plans, and delivering therapy interventions Engages regularly with an interdisciplinary care team Training provided by the team to prepare for clinical responsibilities Radius rules apply for local candidates and may affect pay rate eligibility Open to first-time travelers American Traveler Job ID P-746837.
