Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Lead oversees daily maintenance operations, ensuring safe and efficient performance of facility systems and equipment. This hands-on role includes guiding maintenance personnel, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and adherence to safety standards are essential in this fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
• Oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure production schedules are met.
• Effectively guide and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and foster a positive work environment, while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Full understanding of production processes, quality control methods, and relevant tools.
• Identify and resolve issues that impact production efficiency or quality.
• Apply company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Have a thorough understanding of Chief's ERP system (IFS)
• Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
• Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Shift :

• 1st Shift - 6:00am - 4:30pm

Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations

Qualifications

Requires knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality procedures generally gained in 3-5 years of experience. Meets the experience requirement of the Maintenance Technician.
