Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Victim Services Supervisor provide a full range of services to crime victims and coordinates;, implements;, and monitors all aspects of victim services within his/her judicial circuit; provides Victim Awareness Training to Department staff; supports the Office of Victim Services with various trainings; serves as the local victim services representative for SCDPPPS in collaboration with community partners; conducts and promotes outreach efforts on behalf of SCDPPPS victim services; promotes the agency victim services programs; represents SCDPPPS, OVS in inter- and intra-agency victim services efforts. Travel is required in judicial circuits with multiple counties. Some overnight travel may be required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and related experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required related experience. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Will be required to obtain Victim Services Provider Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
An associate's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, education, counseling or other social/behavioral science and two years' experience in related work. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for related work experience.
