RN Wound Care

Tryfacta is seeking a RN Wound Care for our client in Apple Valley, CA 92307. This is a 13 week contract assignment with high possibility of extension. First time travelers are accepted. Two years of experience required. Floating is preferred depending on the skills. Weekends/holiday no call requirements. Prefer recent RN wound care experience. BLS is required. WOCN, Wound Care Certification OR WOCN is preferred. EPIC preferred.

Block schedule for Thursday-Saturday, but option for flexibility M-Sat can be considered, no Sundays scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered. Years of experience required: 2 years hospital exp. Weekends required: block schedule for Thursday-Saturday, but option for flexibility M-Sat can be considered, no Sundays.

Certifications required: ACLS (preferred), BLS, WOUND CARE CERT OR WCON required. Is on-call required? No. Pending license accepted: No.

Responsibilities include providing specialized wound care management including wound assessment, dressing changes, wound cultures, and symptom management. Performing and assisting with wound treatments such as alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, silver products, skin substitutes, and wound VAC therapy. Assisting with debridement procedures including mechanical, enzymatic, autolytic, and sharp debridement. Monitoring and managing alterations in skin integrity and mucous membranes. Conducting ulcer and skin risk assessments using Braden Scale and other prevention assessment tools. Identifying and managing risk factors affecting skin integrity and wound healing. Providing continence evaluations and assisting with urodynamic and diagnostic procedures. Supporting advanced therapies including electrical stimulation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Educating patients and caregivers on wound care, prevention strategies, and treatment plans. Maintaining accurate documentation of wound progress, treatments, and patient responses.
