Mechanical Inspector

Performs sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials and packaging line and manufacturing inspections. Inspects and tests product manufactured or processed by suppliers to ensure conformance to requirements and specifications. Identifies material and processes as conforming or nonconforming. Writes simple reports of findings for review. Enters required data into system. Follows established procedures on routine work, minimal guidance on established procedures. Will receive instruction on new assignments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience Requires a high school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training and a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a directly related field.Experience with the following is highly preferred:CMM programming/operation experience with Zeiss Calypso, Hexagon PCDMIS, or Wenzel OpenDMIS softwares.Laser Tracker/Laser Scanner programming/operation with PCDMIS software.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of organization.Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
