The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Paw Paw region seeking Payroll Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidatesnot just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manages timecard collection and approval processes, collaborating with supervisors for timely submission.
• Calculates and processes payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments, adhering to federal and state regulations.
• Reconciles payroll data and prepares related journal entries for financial reporting.
• Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensures compliance with all internal policies and external payroll-related regulations.
• Assists with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax compliance and wage and hour laws.
• Experience with payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, including understanding of shift differentials, overtime, and incentive pay structures common in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
