Accountant II

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to support accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, a solid understanding of GAAP, and hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. This position works closely with accounting, finance, and operational teams and requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial analysis. Apply GAAP, accounting policies, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting. Analyze financial data, research discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues. Prepare management reports and support internal and external reporting requirements. Execute assigned SOX controls and maintain appropriate supporting documentation. Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, efficiency, and controls. Manage assigned accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision while meeting established deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2–4 years of accounting or financial analysis experience. Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or another ERP/accounting system is preferred. Experience supporting SOX controls is a plus. Corporate, property, utility, or energy accounting experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
