Structural Design Engineer

The Palmer Group

Our client is a family-owned design engineering firm offering custom services and solutions to the industrial sector with over 150 years of collective experience. They serve a variety of industries, including power plants, biofuel plants, mining facilities, food processing, and grain storage and handling, priding themselves on delivering innovative and customized design solutions. The growth of our client requires an additional Structural Design Engineer to join their team, working on projects of all sizes and scopes in heavy industrial, agriculture, energy, mining, and municipal sectors. Work Model:

On-Site

What You Will Do:

Design and analyze structures using engineering calculations and software
Prepare calculations and specifications for projects
Start CAD drawings or markup drawings for drafters (AutoCAD & Revit)
Collaborate with engineers in the office or contractors and other professionals on project design needs
Go on on-site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

5 or more years of direct experience - P.E. license required
Experience with industrial projects preferred; c ommercial projects in related fields will be considered
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to collaborate well in a small office and excitement about going on-site to learn
