Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute hospital required; ICU background highly preferred
License: Active nursing license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, conscious sedation certification highly preferred


Must-Have: Hard stop sedation experience required
Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias


Description:
RN needed for endoscopy procedures with experience in hard stop sedation.
The shift is 4x10 days, typically from 08:30 to 19:00, and may require starting earlier with notification.
Call shifts include 1-2 weekend or holiday shifts per month.
RNs must be comfortable floating in all areas of endoscopy and will work with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 in the sedation area and 1:2 in the post-procedure area.
CRNAs are available for patients requiring monitored anesthesia care sedation.
Clinical expertise in conscious and procedural sedation is essential.
Travel nurses should have experience and be comfortable with the flow of a hospital-based endoscopy department.
Daily patient volume is expected to be between 20-30 with a staffing ratio of 1:1 in the intake area.
RNs should possess skills in administering conscious sedation, airway management, and starting and maintaining IVs.
Experience with various endoscopic procedures is required, including colonoscopy, EGD, and various therapeutic cases.
RNs will work independently in technical roles and support providers during procedures.
Experience in high-volume, high-acuity environments is preferred.
Candidates must adhere to pre-defined availability for shifts.
Epic charting experience is required.
Additional modules and training may be necessary prior to the start date.
