Job Description UW Medical Center-Northwest - Endoscopy has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse. WORK SCHEDULE Per diem schedule / variable hours per week 10 hours per shift Must be available to work day shifts, Monday-Friday Call shifts on nights and weekends are optional but not required ABOUT OUR ENDOSCOPY UNIT This position will primarily work at our inpatient hospital endoscopy unit and will provide cross-coverage to our brand-new outpatient endoscopy suite, both located in North Seattle We have 7 combined procedure rooms (4 outpatient, 3 inpatient) Inpatient RNs provide additional support for emergent and therapeutic endoscopies, and outpatient RNs provide procedural support for diagnostic and screening GI services POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Work a flexible schedule that offers work-life balance Join a dynamic team in a high demand healthcare field Perform advanced endoscopies and complex GI procedures PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist providers during endoscopic procedures Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation Educate patients Administer medication Use and maintain endoscopic equipment Help manage emergencies and complications Promote efficient patient flow by assisting with patient admission, phone triage, and record keeping REQUIREMENTS 1 year of recent endoscopic nursing experience BLS Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
