Full-time cook will receive a $2,500 sign on bonus. Parkway Care and Rehab in Edwardsville, KS is looking to hire a full-time Cook to join our team. Applicants must have experience cooking in a long term care facility or related healthcare facility. This position requires a pre-employment drug test as well as a 2-step TB test. Both tests are provided by Parkway. This dietary position earns a competitive salary of $16/hour. You prepare meals for our residents in accordance with regulatory guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COOK REQUIRED: Must have experience cooking in a long term care facility. Must have experience with preparing meals for mechanically altered diets. Must have desire to work with the geriatric population (65+ years old) Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance Must be at least 18 years of age Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members WORK SCHEDULE This full-time cook position works evenings 2pm-8pm from Wednesday-Sunday (off Monday and Tuesday).
