Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Technician to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations at its Fremont, CA facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on logistics or warehouse experience, forklift certification, and knowledge of hazardous materials and shipping regulations.

This role is responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and timely movement of products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, and ship materials accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare gas cylinders for shipment by:
• • Removing old labels
  • Painting and inspecting cylinders
  • Applying valve labels
  • Barcode scanning
  • Palletizing shipments
• Perform shipping and receiving transactions using the company's ERP system.
• Prepare shipping documentation in compliance with Air Liquide policies and DOT regulations.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and Air Liquide facilities.
• Load and unload trucks and sea containers using a forklift.
• Secure cargo using proper blocking and bracing methods in accordance with IMO, IMDG, and Customs requirements.
• Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts.
• Report safety and quality concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
• Complete all required safety training and comply with OSHA, MSDS, HAZWOPER, LOTO, and company safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in:
• • Shipping & Receiving
  • Warehouse Operations
  • Logistics
  • Inventory Control

Required Skills

• Forklift Certification required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using ERP systems for shipping and inventory transactions.
• Knowledge of:
• • IMO documentation
  • AES filing
  • ISF filing
• Familiarity with transportation and hazardous materials regulations, including:
• • DOT
  • 49 CFR
  • 15 CFR
  • IATA
  • IMDG
• Proficiency with:
• • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Understanding of chemical and compressed gas handling procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a large warehouse for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Manual dexterity for frequent computer data entry.
• Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test and physical examination to wear a full-face respirator when required.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced warehouse and shipping environment.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and security.
• Follow all OSHA, MSDS, HAZWOPER, LOTO, and Air Liquide safety standards.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
• Ensure no safety alarms or interlocks are bypassed.
