Accounts Payable Analyst

Accounts Payable Analyst

Maintains and analyzes activities in the accounts payable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and credit card accounts, maintains accurate records and control reports. Maintains cash receipts and plays an active role in month end general ledger account reconciliations. Establishes and maintains excellent communication channels with employees at all field location offices. Reports directly to the CFO.

Position Type: Exempt/Full Time

Essential Functions:

  • Manages and oversees all functions of Bill.com
  • Enters, verifies, codes, and approves vendor invoices in Bill.com
  • Processes weekly manual and return to program checks (including DSS Checkbook)
  • Reviews and approves credit card transactions in SAP Concur
  • Provide Concur technical support for entering credit card charge information to include potential Concur Training for New Division Directors. Directors are still responsible for their own credit card charge entry and approval responsibilities
  • Maintains weekly check registers and agency vendor register
  • Processes incoming W-9's for new vendors
  • Attends monthly accounting department meetings (receivables/ P&L's/etc.)
  • Assists in preparing agency year end 1099's
  • Manages accounting department mail processing and distribution
  • Receives and process Utility/vendor invoices from the field for Supportive Services Division
  • Prepare Check Requisitions for the vendor invoices from the field for Supportive Services Division for Director approval
  • Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS degree in Finance/Accounting
  • 3 plus years of accounting experience
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft products with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit, use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee can sometimes be exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
