Position Overview Haversine Funding is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Portfolio Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day operational and loan servicing activities of our lender finance portfolio. This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in commercial lending, specialty finance, loan operations, accounting, or portfolio management. The position supports the full Portfolio Team and works day to day under the direction of the Senior Loan Servicing Associate. The Portfolio Operations Specialist will support the servicing of Haversine’s loan portfolio through funding administration, collateral monitoring, borrowing availability calculations, covenant compliance, cash posting, portfolio reporting, client communication We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work, asks thoughtful questions, and wants to build a long-term career in specialty finance. Work Arrangement This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The role is primarily office-based, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week based on manager approval and team needs. Key Responsibilities Calculate and track covenant compliance in accordance with monitoring requirements. Calculate borrowing availability and prepare proposed funding amounts for review/approval. Communicate professionally and responsively with clients, internal team members, Accounting, and other parties involved in servicing activities. Process funding requests and maintain loan documentation within the loan servicing system. Post cash receipts and other transactions within loan servicing system accurately and timely. Monitor required borrower reporting and follow up directly with clients regarding missing information, documentation, or routine servicing items. Prepare and maintain financial, collateral, and portfolio trend reporting. Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation for portfolio monitoring, reporting, audit, and compliance purposes (i.e. facility, collateral, funding, and payment records). Identify missing information, operational discrepancies, exceptions, adverse trends, and potential compliance concerns, and elevate them to the appropriate Portfolio Team member. Support the onboarding of new client relationships and facilities, via client set up, collateral monitoring and reporting schedules within loan system. Support process improvements, documentation initiatives, system enhancements, and other projects designed to improve accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and scalability. Provide additional operational and portfolio support as needed. Qualifications and Requirements Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered. Recent graduates (and candidates with 0-3 years of professional experience) should apply. Prior experience in commercial lending, banking, financial services, loan servicing, accounting, operations support, factoring, or asset-based lending is helpful but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel and Word. Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn financial concepts. Strong numerical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating directly with clients to obtain information and resolve routine operational matters. Ability and willingness to learn new software systems, lending concepts, documentation requirements, and operational processes. Proactive, responsive, accountable, reliable, and solution-oriented with a strong work ethic. Adaptable and committed to continuous learning and improvement. Ability to work collaboratively while also completing assigned responsibilities independently and accurately. Compensation and Benefits Salary range of $55,000 to $62,000, based on experience and qualifications, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus of up to 10% based on individual and company performance.
