Automation Controls Engineer

Agilent seeks an Automation Controls Engineer for its GMP-regulated API manufacturing facility in Frederick, Colorado. The role involves managing SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems for oligonucleotide therapeutic production, troubleshooting equipment issues, optimizing control code, and supporting system validation and compliance activities. Candidates should hold a relevant engineering degree and possess 4+ years of pharma automation experience with specific platform proficiencies.

Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for GMP manufacturing process control and automation systems
Troubleshoot automation and controls issues to maintain equipment uptime and operations
Implement PLC and SCADA code changes for system improvements and process optimization
Lead control system design specifications and ensure 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
Support system validation activities including Factory and Site Acceptance Tests

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
4+ years automation/controls experience in pharma/biopharma or fine chemicals
Proficiency with Rockwell Studio 5000, DeltaV, GE IFIX, FactoryTalk View, Allen-Bradley PLCs
Knowledge of GMP, GAMP5, and controlled document generation
Experience with SCADA systems, DCS, PLCs, and Building Automation Systems

Compensation: $103,200-$161,250/yr plus bonus, stock and benefits eligibility
