ServiceNow Platform Director

Salary: $215,000 - 275,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 15+ years of technology experience, including at least 10 years of deep, hands-on ServiceNow expertise across architecture, development, and platform ownership in modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and CSM.
• We need expert-level ServiceNow capability in architecture, JavaScript scripting, GlideRecord, REST/SOAP integrations, workflow design, CMDB/CSDM, and platform security and access control.
• We need hands-on experience with ServiceNow AI and automation features, including Now Assist, machine learning integrations, agentic workflows, and intelligent alerting.
• We need a proven ability to architect and deliver AI-first platform solutions, such as automated triage, intelligent routing, generative AI-enabled self-service, and ML-driven operational insights.
• We need experience leading large, geographically distributed teams of engineers, developers, and analysts, with a track record of building high-performing and inclusive technology organizations.
• We need demonstrated success defining and executing enterprise platform strategy, including roadmap ownership, governance design, and senior stakeholder engagement in complex regulated environments.
• We need deep knowledge of ITIL processes at enterprise scale, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog governance.
• We need experience integrating ServiceNow with observability and DevOps tools such as Splunk, Grafana, PagerDuty, Azure DevOps, metrics platforms, and Snowflake.
• We need financial acumen and experience managing platform budgets, vendor relationships, and cost optimization initiatives, with evidence of spend reduction or value delivery.
• We need strong communication and presentation skills to translate technical concepts into business-focused narratives for senior leadership.
• We need experience operating in regulated financial services or enterprise environments, with familiarity with standards such as DORA, SOX, or similar operational resilience frameworks.
• We need ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification; CIS in one or more modules is strongly preferred, and CTA or CMA is a major advantage.
• Preferred experience includes ServiceNow transformation programs, legacy tool retirement, large-scale migrations, or hub-and-spoke governance models.
• Preferred experience includes Agile delivery frameworks and leading cross-functional product teams using Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow Agile capabilities.
• Preferred experience includes financial services or investment management environments with comparable operational and regulatory complexity.
• Preferred experience includes evaluating and onboarding third-party development partners and managing vendor performance.
• Preferred experience includes Python or Core Java for ServiceNow integrations and automation pipeline development.

• We will define and own the enterprise ServiceNow technical strategy, including the multi-year roadmap, module prioritization, and architectural direction.
• We will lead, develop, and grow the ServiceNow Platform team, including engineers, developers, business analysts, and contingent workers.
• We will set the technical architecture and engineering standards for the platform, including scalable design patterns, scripting standards, integration frameworks, and governance.
• We will integrate AI and intelligent automation capabilities into ServiceNow, including Now Assist, generative AI workflows, agentic automation, and predictive analytics.
• We will embed AI-first engineering practices across the team, from prompt-driven workflow design and ML-assisted triage to intelligent observability integrations.
• We will establish and enforce platform governance, including change control, CMDB integrity, CSDM alignment, release management, and regulatory compliance.
• We will work with senior business and technology leaders to turn strategic goals into platform capabilities that deliver measurable operational and financial value.
• We will oversee integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems such as Splunk, Grafana, PagerDuty, Azure DevOps, Snowflake, and third-party partners.
• We will drive cost transparency and value tracking across ServiceNow enhancements, while owning the platforms financial posture and ROI narrative.
• We will champion platform modernization, including retirement of legacy tools and processes, migration to cloud-native ServiceNow capabilities, and hub-and-spoke operating models.
• We will represent the ServiceNow platform in firm-wide technology forums and vendor governance discussions, including our relationship with ServiceNow as a strategic partner.
• We will maintain visibility into platform availability, performance, and incident trends, with accountability for MTTR and SLA adherence.
• We will ensure operational health through capacity planning, proactive risk identification, and strong business continuity practices.
• We will lead regular platform reviews with senior stakeholders and provide structured reporting on roadmap progress, delivery metrics, risks, and outcomes.
• We will oversee the ServiceNow instance administration posture, including delegated groups, workflow governance, ACL management, CMDB standards, and catalog integrity.
• We will drive talent strategy for the team, including hiring, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
• We will partner with internal audit, risk, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory and operational resilience requirements are met, including audit evidence generation.
