This position is ideal for candidates with basic industrial or automotive painting experience who are ready to continue developing their skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.As a Painter I, you will support wet paint and powder coat operations while assisting with surface preparation, paint application, material handling, and production support tasks. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to follow established painting and quality procedures.We are looking for team members who take pride in their work, maintain a strong work ethic, and are motivated to grow within the paint department.Position SummaryThe Painter I is responsible for performing entry-level industrial painting tasks while supporting production schedules and quality standards. This position requires the ability to apply paint to basic components, assist with material preparation, and maintain clean and organized work areas under supervision.The ideal candidate has foundational painting knowledge, understands basic paint preparation and mixing procedures, and is motivated to continue developing technical painting skills.ResponsibilitiesApply paint to basic metal parts and componentsSupport wet paint and powder coat production operationsPrepare surfaces prior to paint applicationAssist with simple paint mixing and material preparationFollow paint procedures, production standards, and quality requirementsSupport general paint department operations and workflowMaintain clean and organized work areasAssist with masking, hanging, and moving parts as neededFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsSupport production schedules and team objectivesPainting & Production SkillsBasic industrial or automotive painting experience preferredBasic understanding of paint preparation and mixing proceduresFamiliarity with wet paint and powder coat environments preferredStrong attention to detail and surface qualityAbility to follow instructions and standardized processesAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentGood organizational and housekeeping skillsTools & Equipment UsedPaint guns and spray equipmentWet paint and powder coat systemsPaint preparation and mixing toolsMasking materials and tapeCleaning equipment and suppliesMaterial handling carts and racksHand and power toolsPPE and safety equipmentQualificationsBasic experience in industrial or automotive painting preferredAbility to follow instructions and production proceduresGood attendance and reliabilityStrong work ethic and positive attitudeAbility to work safely in a manufacturing environmentAttention to detail and quality standardsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeBilingual in English and Spanish preferredCompensationStarting pay: $20/hourFull-time position40 hours guaranteed per weekStable long-term employmentOpportunity for growth within the paint departmentHands-on training and production experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and move materials regularlyAbility to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environmentAbility to work safely around paint equipment and production machineryWork EnvironmentThis position works inside a manufacturing and industrial paint facility.
