Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join a growing service and maintenance team supporting heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This role is ideal for professionals with strong diagnostic capabilities, hands-on mechanical expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
The successful candidate will independently perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel-powered trucks and equipment while maintaining high service standards and productivity.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
Day Shift
No weekends or overnight shifts
Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and heavy-duty commercial vehicles
Perform major and minor mechanical repairs according to manufacturer and industry standards
Inspect vehicles and identify required maintenance or safety-related repairs
Repair and maintain: Diesel engines
Electrical systems
Air and hydraulic brake systems
Steering and suspension systems
Driveline and drivetrain components
Transmissions and differentials

Remove, install, and replace major components including injectors, clutches, bearings, cylinder heads, camshafts, batteries, and transmissions
Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair verification
Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
Conduct road tests when necessary to verify repairs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all workplace safety procedures and compliance standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical training programs
Mentor junior technicians when needed
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required
Technical or vocational training in diesel or automotive technology preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience working on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
Strong experience with diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with: Engine repair
Transmission systems
Driveline components
Steering systems
Brake systems

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation
Proficient with diagnostic software and repair tools
ASE Certification and 608/609 Certifications preferred
Must possess personal tools required to perform assigned duties
Valid drivers license with clean driving record required
Ability to obtain a CDL preferred
