Courier - Chambersburg Hospital - PRN

Facilities Linen Courier PRN: Requires 2-3 Days/Week Hours: 4:00am - 1:00pm Pay Rate: $18.00/hr Delivers clean linens and returns soiled linens throughout the organization. Duties and Responsibilities Completes laundry pick up and/or deliveries from off campus sites, clients, etc. to the laundry. Completes a daily log. Maintains vehicle, reporting the need for truck maintenance or repairs. Prioritizes workload and organizes loads at beginning of shift. Attends departmental/hospital in-services and education programs as needed without being constantly reminded. Pleasantly participates in orientation and training of new courier employees. Makes them feel welcome and part of the team Willingly helps all co-workers to ensure that all pick up and deliveries are completed in a timely manner. Communicates to Laundry staff when dropping off and picking up linen. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards. Maintains professional growth and development. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience: Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required. Previous driving experience Required Courier/driver experience Preferred Driver's License Statement: Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management. Courses and Training: Must meet Department of Transportation physical requirements - physical exam every two years.
