Director, Corporate Communications

Develop and execute a proactive media relations strategy Elevate GALE and its leaders through meaningful coverage in ad trades and business publications Own and manage GALE’s press relationships from ideation through pitching Partner with agency and client team leads to surface and shape stories Stay ahead of industry trends and inject GALE subject matter experts into the cultural conversation Build annual awards strategy and craft submissions across agency, creative, and people awards Drive thought leadership initiatives and events Advise across internal and external brand materials Strengthen internal processes and tracking/reporting Mentor and support junior team members across owned-channel strategy and material reviews Partner closely with the Vice President, Corporate Communications, and collaborative team members to drive communications strategy and execution Requirements 8+ years experience in communications or marketing, with meaningful time spent in media relations Corporate communications experience preferred Solid understanding of the agency/broader marketing industry Strong writing and communications skills Experience managing or mentoring others Highly organized with the ability to prioritize across multiple workstreams Curious, creative, and self-driven Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in media relations and corporate communications, with a strong focus on developing proactive strategies and managing press relationships.
