Shop Generator Technician

We are recruiting a high-level Generator Technician in Nashville, TN for a well-established power generation company in the entertainment industry. This is a predominantly shop-based role focusing on mobile generators. The job duties include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automatic transfer switches, paralleling and switchgear. Stable work supporting mission‑critical power systems for commercial and industrial clients Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, electronic, and digital control system issues on a wide variety of mobile generator units. Remove, repair, and replace major components, including starters, alternators, digital controllers, and fuel system elements. Set up, configure, and test generator paralleling systems to ensure seamless multi‑unit synchronization and load sharing. Troubleshoot, program, and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and integrated mobile switchgear configurations. Perform comprehensive load‑bank testing and rigorous quality checks on all mobile assets before deployment back into the field. Accurately document all diagnostic findings, parts used, and repair actions within the shop’s maintenance tracking system.
