Sr Field Service Installation Specialist

The Sr. Field Service Installation Specialist will perform difficult electronic or mechanical assembly and installation tasks while also acting as a lead in training. This position involves the assembly of systems, equipment, or complex devices. May work in the absence of established procedures. This position will be primarily installing equipment at overseas locations. Up to 75% travel will be required for extended stays. Responsibilities Performs difficult electronic or mechanical assembly operations in test or at a remote site environment where a high degree of versatility and skill is essential, occasionally in the absence of established procedures Performs all tasks required in the electronic or mechanical assembly and installation processes in order to take a product from the initial stages through final assembly Performs tasks and operates with premium skills, utilizing necessary tools and equipment in assigned areas, ensuring maximum product quality on complex electronic or mechanical assemblies. Reads, understands schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists and sketches May perform the assembly of equipment, alignment of components, adjustment and calibration of the electro/mechanical portions of most complex equipment Assist in managing and leading small teams at site Report daily and weekly job status to Field Service Lead Will fill in as Field Service Lead on site as needed Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business Qualifications 8 years of related assembly experience Must have thorough knowledge of assembly techniques and tools, with understanding of assembly theory Strong mathematical ability and the ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawings Ability to accomplish varying degrees of precision and control in work, where damage / scrap could be of considerable loss Calculate measurements easily using shop mathematics Take verbal instructions with minimum supervision Active DoD issued Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications Associates degree or High School Diploma/equivalent AutoCAD proficiency Performance Expectations Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed; gains the trust and respect of the supervisor, co‑workers and other employees; develops good working relationships with the supervisor, co‑workers and other employees. Develops working knowledge of the installation processes and has ability to respond to change. Work to continuously improve the operations of the Department. Working Conditions This position works in a production and customer site environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required. Travel Up to 75% travel will be required for extended stays. Benefits and Pay Pay may range from $43.00 to $49.00 hourly. The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job‑related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
