Director of Laboratory Services

The Director of Laboratory Services supports the Vice President of Laboratory Services in overseeing daily operations and advancing clinical, business, and technical initiatives across CNEs Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. They contribute to tactical and strategic planning, ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, and provide operational problem resolution and system support across departments and vendors. The Director leads a designated laboratory section, providing scientific and technical oversight while managing staff, equipment, supplies, and the sections financial budget. Qualifications and Specifications Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred Field of study: biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science Minimum 5 to 7 Years of lab management experience Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by a nationally recognized certifying agency Care New England Health System (CNE) and its member institutionsButler Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Kent Hospital, VNA of Care New England, Integra, The Providence Center, and Care New England Medical Group, and our Wellness Centerare trusted organizations fueling the latest advances in medical research, attracting the nations top specialty-trained doctors, and honing renowned services and innovative programs to engage in the important discussions people need to have about their health.
