About The Role The Maintenance Electrical Controls Technician performs complex technical work in the installation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related electro‑mechanical systems. The position includes PLC programming and control logic for automated equipment, inspection and testing of electrical systems, fault diagnosis, repairs through replacement of parts or circuit re‑wiring, and estimating repair or replacement costs. The technician also calculates branch circuit loads, interprets electrical wiring diagrams and schematics, and determines wiring methods and requirements. What You’ll Do Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery, completing required paperwork accurately and timely. Troubleshoot equipment problems, identify root causes, and make repairs on production equipment. Support production by ensuring safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment. Perform basic electrical work including troubleshooting circuits, replacing components, and assisting with low‑voltage installations. Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system. Assist with established preventive maintenance activities and identify new opportunities for improvement. Program Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives. Troubleshoot PLC programs and robotics equipment. Use precision instruments such as meters, meggers, and oscilloscopes accurately. Mentor and train existing and new maintenance employees. Follow all company safety rules and regulations, including LOTO and required PPE. Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures. Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the Employee Handbook, SOPs, MOPs, JSAs, and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities and report all issues to the proper personnel. Additional Expectations Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy. Ensure all duties related to product compliance adhere to the Product Compliance Policy, laws, regulations, and market demands. Achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System. Raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System through the appropriate supervisory or confidential channels. What You’ll Bring Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Certification or equivalent experience in mechanical field. At least 4 years of prior maintenance experience. Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems. Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems, safe wiring handling, controls, and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards. Working knowledge of variable frequency drives. Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy and integrity. Team player who can interface with a diverse workforce. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to perform maintenance functions above ground level from l' to 50'. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8‑hour shift. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment, or parts and work near moving mechanical parts. What You’ll Get Pay range: $25 USD to $30 USD per hour.
