Product Installation Manager

Overview Job Title: Product Installation Manager Department: Production & Skilled Trades Country: United States State/Province: Illinois City: Elk Grove Village Employment Type: Full time Job Summary Under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing the overall timeline and budget of installation projects. This role ensures the delivery schedule is correct, the job site is ready, the delivery order sequence for appliances meets contractor expectations, and all connections, hookups, space and size requirements are satisfied. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to accommodate demand, including day, night, and weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities Accomplish delivery and installation results by communicating job expectations with installation teams; plan, monitor, and appraise results; coach and counsel employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce installation practices, policies, and procedures. Interact with drivers and installation teams professionally and promptly on site or via phone/system messages to maintain employee engagement and productivity. Preview job sites to ensure safety and readiness for delivery; collaborate with customers on project launches through site assessment, safety requirements, site readiness, and pre-call scheduling. Identify and resolve issues to achieve positive outcomes; drive adoption of safety requirements including use of PPE to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Act as lead supervisor for JBHT assigned staff at the job site to ensure work is complete, on time, and damage-free. Conduct and review property damage assessments from customer complaints and claims. Ensure delivery schedule accuracy and that product layout, order sequences, and equipment requirements meet contractor and/or customer expectations. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to verify project orders are correct. Manage training of employees for installation practices; communicate any special licensing or training requirements for a given project. May order installation parts, tools, and inventory, recover unused parts, and oversee load-out to distribute parts and tools. Meet all internal and external audit and quality assurance requirements. Interact with customers in a professional and timely manner via phone and system messages. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED with 4-5 years of experience in driving, installing, and installation project management. Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record per company standards. Ability to work outdoors, in varying elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed. Ability to pass local/state certifications for appropriate installation. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to lift/move appliances up to 100 pounds; willingness to wear PPE; computer skills with Apple and/or Microsoft products; strong customer service and installation experience; knowledge of building codes, DOT requirements, and parts inventory management; experience managing/supervising a team and training others; willingness to travel; flexibility in workdays and hours; strong communication and people skills; knowledge of construction, installation, customer service, and team management. Compensation: The starting pay range for this position is between $66,000 and $82,500. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes.
