This role is responsible for ensuring compliance of the GWS system design with hardware requirements, through equipment evaluation and design guidance and analysis products. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic QualificationsBS in Mechanical Engineering and minimum from an accredited university and 4 years of related experience, or a Master's STEM Degree and 1 years of related experience, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.Candidate must be able to obtain a US Interim Secret security clearance, this requires US citizenship.4 years of recent design experience using a 3D CAD Package such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NXExperience drafting & reviewing 2D mechanical drawings per ASME standardsPrior experience with engineering PLM systems such as Teamcenter and MRP system such as SAP.Desired SkillsFamiliarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1366, MIL-STD-1472, ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.100, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-STD-461Familiarity with the GMD domain and GMD Launch Support Systems hardwarePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
