Building Supervisor

Needing someone who can work weekends and sub on weeknights on occasion. Availability during those times is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Serve as communication and public relations liaison between citizen groups, Group Representatives, community education staff, district personnel and custodial staff. Reflect in a positive manner the district's and Community Education's philosophy of community use of facilities.
2. Review calendar of events, anticipate services needed and work cooperatively with those responsible to determine additional services and/or manpower needs.
3. Monitor general condition of facility before, during and following scheduled activities. Report any defects or special needs to custodians on duty and to Facility Use Specialist.
4. Monitor groups to assure adherence to appropriate use of district facilities.
5. Distribute materials and/or equipment including media equipment as advance requested.
6. Answer telephone as needed.
7. Collect monies and deposit with Community Education as needed.
8. Clean and/or assist citizen groups with cleaning of facility to return it to desired condition as specified in supervisor duty guidelines. Knows the location of, and proper use of cleaning materials.
9. Acquire/return facility keys from Community Education as needed for assignments.
10. Report to Building Supervisor Specialist on all relevant matters.
11. Attend annual orientation, staff development, and special meetings as assigned.
12. Complete all training as required.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
