Job Overview:
(Friday's ONLY) We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Dentist to join our expanding dental practice in Zion, IL. In this role, you will deliver full-spectrum dental care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include assessing dental health needs, treating a range of dental issues, and providing education on dental treatments and oral hygiene. Hygiene appointments are seen by the hygienist. Zion Family Dentistry has all the latest equipment and technology, including CBCT, digital xrays, IO scanner, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive dental assessments to diagnose oral health conditions and devise appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer local anesthesia and execute dental treatments such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crown placements (guidance and mentorship available for younger dentist).
• Work collaboratively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other dental staff to provide optimal patient care and environment.
• Prescribe appropriate medication to patients when necessary.
• Keep precise and thorough patient records utilizing electronic medical record systems (Open Dental).
• Comply with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Uphold stringent infection control standards and maintain sterile conditions during all procedures.
• Remain current with dental practices and innovations through ongoing education and professional growth.

Experience:

• Must hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Requires a valid dental license in good standing from the State of Illinois.
• Requires a valid controlled substance license from the State of Illinois.
• Preferred - demonstrated dental practice experience or completion of a dental residency program.
• Skilled in a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
• Practice provides implant placement, orthodontics and oral surgery as well. Experience in these areas is a plus, but not necessary.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients of all ages.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
