Lead Daily Molding Operations with Precision

At AmbaFlex, your day starts on the floor. You walk the cells, confirm 6S readiness, check PPE and LOTO compliance, scan the schedule, and align people, molds, and machines for a smooth start. You’re the point person who keeps production safe, efficient, and on time—coaching the team, solving problems in real time, and ensuring our customers receive high‑quality parts, every run.

This role reports to the Injection Mold & Maintenance Manager and serves as a key leader within our manufacturing team.

What You’ll Do Safety & Workplace Organization

• Champion safe work practices, enforce PPE use, and uphold LOTO procedures.
• Keep the area clean, organized, and audit‑ready using 6S standards.
• Spot hazards early and close out safety concerns proactively.

Production Planning & Execution

• Coordinate daily activities to meet customer and business targets.
• Schedule jobs, prioritize machine utilization, plan mold changeovers, and align staffing.
• Track performance and redeploy resources to hit production goals.

Quality & Process Control

• Hold the line on quality standards across all parts produced.
• Monitor cycle times, scrap, rework, downtime, and overall process capability.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Reporting & Inventory Accuracy

• Maintain clear production records: downtime, scrap, and labor reporting.
• Verify material availability and inventory accuracy.
• Execute transactions and reports within ERP/MRP systems.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and support production team members.
• Provide feedback, training, and growth opportunities.
• Run effective shift handoffs and communicate priorities, issues, and expectations.
• Build a positive, team‑oriented environment.

What You Bring Required

• At least 5 years of injection molding manufacturing experience .
• At least 2 years supervising in a production setting.
• Strong grasp of molding processes, tooling, materials, machines, and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency: spreadsheets, production reporting, ERP/MRP, and inventory management.

Preferred

• Technical training or education in plastics manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, production scheduling, and process troubleshooting.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Additional technical or manufacturing‑related education preferred.
