About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Director or Executive Director for Commercial Operations. This key leadership role is responsible for the analytical and operational backbone of the commercial organization, with a focus on market research and insights, sales operations, and analytics. The successful candidate will be the single source of truth for commercial performance, market dynamics, and field execution quality, and will establish the infrastructure and insight capabilities to support the company through various commercial phases. Essential responsibilities include designing and directing market research programs, translating insights into commercial planning, leading sales operations capabilities, and building and owning the commercial analytics function. The role also involves team leadership, cross-functional partnership, and a strong emphasis on operational excellence and cost discipline. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, ideally in a quantitative or life-sciences discipline, with an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. A minimum of 12-15 years' of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required, with a proven track record in U.S. specialty product launches, commercial forecasting, and sales operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with CRM platforms, commercial data sources, and analytics tools, and experience in designing incentive compensation and territory alignment frameworks. Key competencies include analytical rigor, strategic and operational range, and a strong ownership mindset. The role demands a leader with a resource discipline, capable of building and leading high-performing teams, and with the ability to earn cross-functional credibility through reliable data and strong business logic.
