Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Minimum 10-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, with a significant portion of the caseload consisting of admitted and ED holding patients
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and adapt to fluctuating census and acuity levels
• Float as needed to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional float to Pediatric ED; potential float to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
• Work scheduled weekend shifts as required, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state license may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience (1.5 years may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required prior to submission (NIH may pend until compliance document due date)
• RQI certifications are not accepted; standard certification equivalents required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local travelers only); non-local driver's license required on file
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered
• Level I Trauma center experience preferred given the facility's trauma designation and patient population
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience managing admitted and ED holding patients in a high-acuity environment
