Cemetery Caretaker

Responsibilities Help maintain cemetery grounds by performing miscellaneous tasks, operating a backhoe to prepare grave sites, and preparing burial grounds for funerals. Perform various landscaping duties and maintain cleanliness and neatness of roadways and walkways. Lead processions into the cemetery as needed. Supervise working inmates to perform various projects at the cemetery. Maintain county‑issued vehicle and equipment in clean and good working condition. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. High school graduation or equivalent, plus at least one year of experience.
