Bookkeeper/Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting functions and ensure accurate and timely financial records.  The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks and payroll experience, excellant organizational skills, and hands-on experience with IFTA filings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax filings. Must be reliable and able to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Maintain accurate and up to date financial records in QuickBooks
• Process and manage payroll including payroll taxes, deductions and reporting
• Manage Accounts Payable including tracking invoices and vendor payments
• Manage Accounts Receivable including creating accurate invoices, tracking payments, collections and bank deposits
• Experience with sales and excise tax filing
• Prepare and file IFTA reports accurately and on time
• Reconcile bank and credit accounts
• Assist with financial audits and year-end tax preparation
• Communicate with vendors, customers, financial institutions and tax agencies as needed
• Maintain accurate filing systems
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality

Job Requirements

This position is best suited for an experienced, reliable, organized bookkeeping/accounting professional who can take ownership of the company's day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities. This person should be comfortable working independently in a sometimes fast-paced environment, catching discrepancies, meeting tax and payroll deadlines, and maintain accurate financial records. Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal guidance is needed. Must have a minimum of 2+ years experience. Pay DOE
