Job Title

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent or above - Basic understanding of mechanical / mechanical machinery & repairs of common machinery

Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel & twist - Must have experience in welding and metal fabrication

Must be able to use small manual and power hand tools - Must have knowledge and experience with general shop machinery (saws, drill press, iron worker, milling machine, lathe, broom, etc...)

Must be able to use a variety of measuring methods - Must demonstrate good communication skills

Must have general carpenter skills - Must have general computer skills (MS Office)

Must have a valid driver's license - Must be able to lift / move 25 lbs. regularly; may occasionally lift / move up to 100 lbs., but only with assistance from other team members or mechanical equipment

Must demonstrate good self-time managementMust be able to properly operate a forkliftMust have a basic knowledge of TPS ( takt time, J.I.T., understanding of value and non-value added work, etc) - Must have good layout skillsPreferred to have some rigging, crane and or millwright skills

Responsibilities:

1. Fabricate / build machine frames or bases and production support equipment

2. Assemble production or shop equipment

3. Move equipment or rearrange work cells in a timely manner

4. Machine components for plant equipment

5. Clean and or repair production support equipment

6. Install, repair and or clean facility components or the building itself

7. Manage or maintain shop or building inventory

8. Analyze effectiveness of one's own work

9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment

10. Perform other duties as assigned by plant supervision
