Job Title: Commercial Pool Technician

Territory: Miami / Ft Lauderdale Territory 

Reports To: Account Manager

Supervises: N/A

Job Classification: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $25-$35 per hour, and is dependent on multiple variables, including location, experience, and territory. 

This position is temporarily remote; Position will be in-office in the future. 

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The main role of the Commercial Pool Technician is to provide technical expertise, training, and support for existing and prospective clients. Additionally, the daily role will be to visit clients per schedule, perform diagnosis, repair, and replacement of commercial aquatics equipment, test water chemistry, adjust controllers and programming, clean and maintain chemical feed equipment, as well as performing pump room inspections and submitting work orders for all issues found in pump rooms and/or equipment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Onsite visits to new and existing clients on a regular basis 
2. Train clients, channel partners, etc. on chemical feed systems and VivoPoint software
3. Provide technical support, repair, and installation of VivoPoint chemical feed systems, including controllers, modems, feed devices, tubing, injectors, etc.
4. Provide technical support and perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on pumps, filters, heaters, etc., as needed 
5. Perform warranty repair and required maintenance of VivoPoint chemical feed systems 
6. Provide regular chemical water tests and recommendations to clients 
7. Take photo documentation of job sites, projects, and work completions as requested 
8. Provide material and labor cost estimates for repairs and installations as requested 
9. Record all service visit information on VivoPoint via entering manual readings, entering/updating service orders, and completing equipment profiles 
10. Record detailed notes on all service visits in NetSuite 
11. Communicate visits, repairs, and follow up information to supervisors in a timely manner 
12. Must wear appropriate PPE at all times 
13. Must communicate any needs for specialty tools, PPE, training, or support to managers immediately upon discovery of need 
14. Perform regular inventory of parts and equipment within your possession as requested 
15. Communicate with managers and billing department regarding job and project completions and parts used in a timely manner 
16. Must be able to gather parts and equipment from supply houses and other locations as requested 
17. Attend meetings, trainings, and company gatherings as needed 
18. Additionally, duties may be assigned based on changes in client needs and in company needs and services offered 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
• Must maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times: must maintain a professional appearance, and must have a friendly and professional attitude 
• Must possess high organizational skills and be detail oriented 
• Maintain a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and have a high sense of responsibility 
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Email, Word, Excel, Calendar), GSuite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Calendar), or similar. 
• Strong knowledge of commercial water chemistry and balancing water chemistry 
• Strong knowledge of various manufacturers’ circulation and filtration systems and chemical automation systems and chemical feed devices 
• Exceptional knowledge of swimming pool regulations and codes 
• Ability to travel off-island and overnight when needed 
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed 
• Experience and first hand knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems and use of power tools 
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 75lbs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of experience in the aquatics industry required
• 2+ years of technical work experience with commercial aquatics that includes experience with water chemistry and balancing, electrical and plumbing systems
• 2+ years of technical work experience with installing, repairing, maintaining commercial circulation and filtration systems and chemical automation and chemical feed devices
• Currently or previously held CPO license preferred
• Valid driver license that has been valid for at least the last 2 years
• Must be over the age of 21
• Ability to communicate effectively in English. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus!
• Successfully pass a thorough background check, including a DMV/driving record check
