Health Program Administrator (NY HELPS) - 75019

Responsibilities The incumbent will manage daily operational activities of the CHRC-Criminal Health Record Check System, providing NYS and FBI Criminal History Records to providers for unlicensed prospective employees who provide direct care or supervision to patients or residents. Activities include: Coordinating with nursing homes, adult care facilities, licensed home care services agencies, long‑term home health care programs, hospice and health homes. Acting as a CHRC liaison with DOH‑Legal, providers, DCJS, ITS, and other stakeholders. Providing oversight, monitoring progress, offering guidance and technical assistance to program staff. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Required: Current NYS Department of Health employee with one year of permanent or contingent‑permanent service as a Health Program Administrator, SG18, OR current NYS employee eligible for transfer under Section 52.6, 70.1 or 70.4 to Health Program Administrator roles. Minimum of one year service in a qualifying position. Preferred: At least 3 years of operational experience with the Criminal History Record Center application. Strong analytical, technical knowledge of the Criminal History Record Center system. Excellent interpersonal, project management, organization, communication and presentation skills.
