Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel nursing job in Castro Valley, California.

Job Summary:
The Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Castro Valley, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for neuro or stroke patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. Candidates are expected to have at least two years of relevant experience and must bring their California RN license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California RN license, at least 2 years of ICU neuro nursing experience, ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), NCC certifications in hand and up to date, Epic electronic medical records experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience managing arterial lines, external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, and neuro-specific protocols
- Float: May float to emergency department, step-down unit, or central monitoring department
- Additional Information: Candidates must have current vaccinations for COVID-19 and the flu. All certifications must be AHA (American Heart Association) in hand at the time of submission. Candidates should provide a 7-year work history and disclose any background hits or DUIs prior to submission.
