General Superintendent, K-12 Construction

Position Overview The General Superintendent, K–12 Construction, is an experienced construction professional who supports the successful delivery of multiple school construction projects across Central Florida. This role partners with Superintendents, Project Managers, and project leadership to strengthen planning, field execution, safety, quality, and schedule performance. The ideal candidate brings extensive K–12 construction experience and a desire to coach and develop project teams while helping deliver high-quality school projects. Key Responsibilities Work across project sites to review progress, upcoming work, field conditions, risks, and project needs. Support project teams with construction planning, sequencing, site logistics, phasing, and schedule execution. Promote strong safety and quality performance by identifying concerns early, reinforcing project expectations, and helping teams address issues. Apply K-12 construction expertise to help teams navigate active-campus conditions, stakeholder coordination, inspections, turnover, and school-specific project requirements. Coach and develop Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents by sharing practical field knowledge, reinforcing strong practices, and helping them grow Help project teams identify and resolve field conflicts, constructability concerns, trade coordination issues, and other challenges affecting project execution What We’re Looking For 15+ years of commercial construction field leadership experience, including experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent. K–12 school construction experience is required. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, scheduling, safety, quality control, subcontractor coordination, inspections, turnover, and closeout. Collaborative approach and the ability to build trust, share expertise, and influence others. Additional Requirements Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly among assigned Central Florida project sites. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing.
