You’ll partner closely with product and engineering teams to design, implement, and test solutions, and you’ll help keep our systems reliable as we scale.We foster a collaborative environment where your ideas for improving team productivity, job enjoyment, and code quality are highly valued, all while having fun engineering software that makes a real impact.Your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with product management and engineering peers to thoroughly design, build, and test comprehensive product featuresContinuously testing, refactoring, and maintaining codeWriting robust, maintainable code, and refactoring to ensure quality and efficiencyActively participating in code reviewsAbout YouSr. Associate Software Development Engineer:Basic Qualifications3+ years of work experience in Software Engineering2+ years of work experience in both front-end and back-end engineering1+ years of work experience in JavaScript and/or TypeScript codeSoftware Development Engineer:Basic Qualifications:5+ years of work experience in Software Engineering2+ years of work experience with Javascript and/or Typescript code2+ years of work experience in both front-end and back-end engineering2+ years of experience with AWS or similar public cloud environments (e.g., GCP, Azure), including deploying, monitoring, and maintaining applications in these environments 2+ years of working experience in DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. CDK and Terraform)Preferred QualificationsWriting quality and well tested code excites youExperience with both front-end development and server or backend development is a plusStrong belief in automation and experience building CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins/Github ActionsExperience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Experience with writing production quality code in TypeScriptExperience designing and building APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)You have delivered several production quality applications and know how to maintain and support themStrong communicator that can drive technical and strategic discussions with extended organizationA desire to think deeply about user experience and provide feedback on design and UX to create intuitive workflows.Familiarity with monitoring/operational tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana) is a plusExperience with Azure, Google Workspace, and/or Salesforce administration is a plusExperience with event-driven systems (pub/sub, queues, webhooks) is a plusExperience with Workday tenant configuration (security and business process setup) is a plusExperience with Workday’s XO language and OMS/event flows is a plusFamiliarity building integrations or skills/actions for AI assistants or agentic platforms is a plusFamiliarity with agent standards and protocols such as MCP and A2A protocols is a plusWorkday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
