Job Summary:
The profession isRegistered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This position is located in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves providing peri-anesthesia care in a 12-bed unit that operates 24/7, supporting traumatized patients and surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their active RN license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-Hour rotating shifts (day, evening, night) with start times at 0700-1930 and 1900-0730, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); must have at least 2 years ICU experience; emergency department (ED) or trauma experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to float within scope across main PACU, pre-operative areas, ICU, and sister facilities as needed. Experience in managing ventilated patients, titration of vasopressors, airway management, and blood product administration is required. Vaccinations include the flu vaccine as scheduled; COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
• Special Skills: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, arterial line management, airway assessment, blood product administration, neurological assessment, and trauma management.
• Experience Requirements: Must have at least 2 years ICU experience; 1 year of related patient care and charting system experience (Epic) is preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week, with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week period, and on-call as scheduled.
• Additional duties involve: Managing IVs, airway management, post-operative care, and trauma patient support.
