Sterile Processing Technician

The position involves providing sterile processing services for surgical instruments and equipment. The technician will handle cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling medical instruments. Candidates must have experience with automatic endoscope reprocessors and high-level disinfection. Experience in acute care settings and familiarity with the AAMI guidelines is essential. The technician will be responsible for vendor tray management and robotic equipment cleaning. The role includes occasional on-call responsibilities and working rotating weekends. Team collaboration is important, and the technician may need to float between similar units. Candidates should be comfortable using Epic for charting and documenting procedures. Travelers will work with various types of endoscopes including bronchoscopes and colonoscopes. Candidates must comply with regulatory requirements and follow manufacturers' instructions for use. Willingness to work during key holidays will be necessary. References from previous employment are required.
