- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
- Instructing patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in accordance with your practice guidelines
- Managing follow-ups and chronic care with ongoing patient engagement
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Meticulously documenting patient information in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or comparable credential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or must be willing to obtain within 90 days)
