Senior Accountant

Work Model: You'll work in a hybrid model, onsite at your designated Regal Rexnord location at least three days per week (MondayThursday), with flexibility to work remotely up to two days, including Friday.

Scope Of Leadership Role

The Senior Accountant is an important member of the Corporate Accounting & Consolidations Department. This role will be a key partner to the Corporate Accounting & Consolidations Senior Manager during the daily activities in the department by analyzing transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining account reconciliations. This position will also be responsible for management of the A/R securitization, hedging analysis, and consolidations process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares, records, and tracks journal entries and general ledger reconciliations including A/R securitization, cloud computing software & hedge accounting.
• Works with Treasury to record monthly journal entries related to the consolidated company's qualified and non-qualified hedging activities.
• Works with the A/R Shared Services department to prepare the monthly rollforward and related journal entries for the company's A/R securitization program.
• Ensures any journal entries prepared related to A/R Securitization and/or Hedging accounts are appropriately recorded by local accounting teams in their local ERP systems and reflected appropriately within the monthly consolidated results.
• Prepares and presents the quarterly hedging analytic used in external reporting to the Assistant Controller & CAO.
• Works to identify and eliminate intercompany out of balance with global partners.
• Supports the monthly corporate close, including preparation and review of balance sheet accounts through consolidation checks primarily equity type accounts.
• Consolidates and verifies financial data from business groups and identifies and investigates irregularities.
• Responds to business unit questions regarding accounting policies or implications and provides guidance and support to the finance teams.
• Provides back up for the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting & Consolidations with final OneStream consolidations.
• Provides data as requested by the internal/external auditors and the financial reporting team.
• Works with the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting & Consolidations to streamline and improve current accounting processes to facilitate the month end close and reconciliation processes.
• Performs tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• CPA preferred
• 3 - 5 years of increasingly responsible accounting experience
• Public Accounting experience and/or Manufacturing experience desired
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Oracle and OneStream experience is a plus
